I'm guessing it's an icon to indicate the card contains an RFID circuit for the new generation of room keys that uses RFID technology instead of the magnetic stripe. The reader in the door lock activates the RFID circuit in the key card when in close proximity and reads the data recorded in the card wirelessly.
