Supposedly the new rates now include tracking with no extra charge. But in case you didn't notice the barcode stickers they were using previously still allowed you to track the package even if you hadn't paid for tracking.

There's another news report that that last First Class Mail rate increase was only a temporary approval and supposedly the post office will have to drop the first class mail rate sometime later this year.
