I am not a member of any clubs, but I collect several things.

A separate convention attracts established collectors. A table at a different convention can attract new collectors. I would never have known that other people also collect slot cards if I had not found this page linked to the Chip Board. I would not have searched on my own.

When any organization is considering whether to hold separate conventions, you should not listen only to the choir.
