I've been working with Albert Scalzo for several weeks now trying to get slot card info onto the Chip Guide website. The important thing is that we've been trying to coordinate the entries on the Chip Guide with what's listed in the Slot Card Price Guide, using the same descriptions, issue numbers, etc. instead of just randomly posting slot card images on the Chip Guide as in the past. I'm making a few changes in the Slot Card Price Guide as we progress so we can keep everything in sync between the two resources. There are a few restrictions with how some things are going onto the Chip Guide so I'm making whatever changes in the Slot Card Price Guide are needed to keep things in sync.
This is going to be a long term project but eventually we should have an excellent reference source for slot cards with images of just about every slot card issued. I currently have over 80% of all the cards listed in the most recent Slot Card Price Guide so coverage should be very good by the time we're done. A few other collectors have been helping to load scans and Barry Weintraub is also helping Albert with getting the scans onto the website.
Charles Kaplan has also made a few changes to the Chip Guide website so you can now display the front and back of any slot card on a single webpage by just clicking the slot card scan listed on the main casino web page. If you want to send another collector a link to the Chip Guide webpage for a particular slot card, that's now possible. That also opens the ability for me to eventually embed links in the electronic copy of the Slot Card Price Guide so you could click on any entry and bring up the Chip Guide web page with the scans for that particular card. It's a long term goal of mine but I think it could be extremely handy.
Most of the slot card information going onto the Chip Guide is based on the 9th edition of the Slot Card Price Guide that was just released a few months ago. Copies are still available if you need it, see my website at www.slotcardguide.com for info or to order.
