I've been doing the same thing with cards that have the player name/number wiped clean with acetone or other chemicals. Just seems to destroy the cards and I wouldn't want to sell or trade them as blanks when they're not. So I normally wind up throwing those out too. Just a shame when people destroy cards like that.
