I went to mail RR#18 to Hojin today and was advised by the postal clerk that she could not accept the Priority flat rate envelope as presented because I had reinforced the edges with priority tape. According to her postmaster, this was against postal regulations as printed on the envelope (see scan) so I had to repackage the RR contents into a different envelope which necessitated affixing a new delivery confirmation label. The newest confirmation number to Hojin is; 0312 0090 0001 3230 6631. I posted this problem on the message board some time ago, and I thought the regulations had been relaxed as I've received several flat rate mailings from others that had taped edges. Has anyone else been experiencing this renewed development?
