Basically, a shotgun swap is where a list of names is put together and the people on that list send a certain number of keys to each of the other people on the list (i.e. you send six keys to each of the other nine people appearing on the list). As a participant, you will receive an envelope containing the same number of keys from each of the other people on the list.

I've called this swap a Santa Swap the prior two (at least I think it's been two) times I've done it for room keys at this time of year only because it's at Christmas time
