Hi everyone.
I have decided to finally thin out my huge "collection" of misc casino items that I've been hoarding for close to 25 years. As many collectors have done, in my early days of collecting, I grabbed, transported home and saved just about everything with a casino name on it. If it had a casino name on it....and it wasn't nailed down, it was coming home with me.
A bit about me:
As many of you have done over the years, I have refined my collecting interests to a specific area. For me, it is
casino chips.....specifically Nevada house chips and ncv chips.
For Slot cards, I decided to only keep one of every card....but only if it has my name on it and everything else is going to be sold off.
I doubt there is anything of great value in my hoard, but I really don't know what is worth what.
So I am asking for some help with a realistic idea of what I should price the cards at. I'm in the Toledo, OH area, and could really use some help from a card collector who can quickly sort through these and tell me what's crap and what's decent.
Sure I could just buy the priceguide and price the cards that way....but i want to price the cards at realistic values and not retail book value. I want to price them to sell. I don't want to give away the farm. I want them priced to give both myself and the buyer a decent deal. Besides, I hate to buy the priceguide just to use it a few days and that's it. Especially when I'm sure most everything I have other then a few will be common.
I am a dealer of chips as well as a collector and I have dealer tables at both the CC/GTCC convention as well as at the Greatlakes show coming up in November. I would like to have the cards priced and available for sale there.
Can anyone help me out?
