We had four collectors at the TITO collectors meeting during the CC>CC convention in June in LV, NV. That included one new collector who got his collection started with about 100 or so TITOs from the freebee donation boxes.
I came back from the convention with about 450 TITOs donations, gifts, trades and purchases.
Since the close out of the second TITO catalog update CDROM in May 2011 I have received enough new material both from the convention and other trades to add 60 some pages with over 125 new TITOs already going into the third catalog update.
At the same time I am building the third catalog update I am submitting many of the newer TITOs to the Chip Guide Web Site for listing so that TITO collectors can get the TITOs at the casinos while they are still in the slot machines before the designs change.
We now have at least 365 plus different TITOs from 26 states and ships on the Chip Guide because of the fine help I have been getting from Charles Kaplan and his Chip Guide submissions crew. I also thank the other contributors who have been submitting TITOs to the Chip Guide. After we get a large percentage of the issued to date TITOs up on the Chip Guide I will be glad to get out of the catalog publishing business. DE, MI, PA listings are close to complete.
Over the remainder of the year we expect to see a lot of new TITO designs as we have new casinos open, names change and the ownership of casinos change and thus new legal language is required on the TITOs backs. This last item will really show up as Harrah’s corporate name changes to Caesar’s.
