I just bought (a few weeks back) a new Brother Model MFC-J415W printer scanner from Best Buy. Cost out the door was less than $100 (including the gas to get there).

Looking on ebay I can found (off-brand) ink cartridges in bulk (40) cartridges for $45 dollars delivered. Now then, I've gone through about 12 of the cartridges so far with no problems (yes I do a lot of printing and scanning).

But here's the kicker.....Office Depot and I believe Staples offer a $3.00 rebate on used ink cartridges (limit 10 per month). Rebates calculated every quarter.

Now if you don't see what I'm telling you......DO THE MATH.
