Over the past year I've totally reviewed the entire guide, checking every card in my collection while merging two large acquisitions with my original cards. That's over 50,000 cards checked against the guide! In the process I've discovered a lot of missing issues plus I've updated many card descriptions to hopefully make them clearer and easier to understand. I've also reorganized a few sections where it made sense. There was a lot of work that went into redoing the Harrah's Universal cards with help from Esther and others. Plus Tim Harry helped review and sort out the Australian and New Zealand sections. There was an enormous amount of input and help from countless other collectors as well and my thanks to everyone who has helped!

Wherever older cards were discovered that logically fit between earlier listings, the issue numbers were renumbered when necessary to make the listings correct. I felt it was a good time to try and make the guide as correct as possible while everything was being reviewed. As such, this hopefully creates a new starting point going forward with less changes in the future. I'll try to make every attempt in future editions to minimize any renumbering wherever possible but I'm sure there will be an occasionaly exception.

The Word file for the guide was reformatted to add automatic creation of the index, automatic page breaks and formatting, etc. so that future editions will involve much less work. In conjunction with that change, the casino order in some sections was changed to make the sort order more logical. Any casino names starting with "The..." are now listed in alphabetical order using the next following word in the casino name with "The" indicated at the end... for example, "The Duck Inn" would now appear as "Duck Inn, The" in the D's instead of the T's.

There were also a number of cross references added throughout the guide to help direct readers to the correct entries where there are multiple locations, name changes, etc. These cross references appear throughout the listings and in the index. Hopefully this will minimize some of the confusion in finding certain entries.

All Russian cards were re-translated and their entries updated accordingly plus their values were increased slightly with the closing of a majority of the Russian casinos. All other card values were left pretty much unchanged for now except for a few entires here and there.

One of the things I came across multiple times was that there were different cards in each collection that I was merging that all matched the original guide descriptions but when compared side by side they were DIFFERENT issues or variations. This was especially apparent with the Russian cards where I found a number of cards that had two variations where the obverse was identical but the reverse was totally different... basically the reverse text was relocated between the cards with embossed player info vs the later cards with printed player info.
