At the Convention, from the Bourse Floor, the 2008 OTY winners were announced in a presentation that included representatives from the winning entrants! While the next issue of the CCTN will have details and photos, here is a quick posting of the 2008 OTY winners!

Slot Card / Room Key of the Year (CKOTY)

Presented to the Mirage and CPI Card Group, Inc.

Silver Strike of the Year (SSOTY)

Presented to the Four Queens and Sunshine Mint.

Chip of the Year (COTY)

Presented to the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino and to GPI-USA (Paul-Son).

NOTE: The Token of the Year (TOTY) category continues to be on-hold.

I extend my thanks to the Official OTY Judges and to those who helped in providing me with scans of OTY Nominees and actual OTY Nominees for display at the Convention.

I extend a special thanks to Larry and Alice Kopp for their donation of the 2008 CKOTY winner for the Club's Permanent Collection of Past OTY winners!

Unless other(s) step-up, based on this post, when I return home, I'll be looking for donors(s) for the COTY and SSOTY winners.

Lastly, my many thanks to my son Casey for his help in receiving, sorting and validating the mailed Nominations and Ballots as the Assistant OTY Chairman.
