Fond memories...
The Gillette Good News razor phonecards were in my opinion the high point for phonecard collectors. It was an incredible amount of fun running around buying packs of the razor, running home to find out what different variations were found, posting that information online, and swapping the extras with collectors all over the country. It was a great example of the power of using online communications to expand a collection far beyond what was available locally, not to mention building a true online community. I can't remember exactly which CompuServe collector was responsible for compiling the first list of all of the different variations, but I believe it was either Ron Abler or Fred King.
I think some people are still using razors bought during that promotion
