We were in SD and Deadwood for the last 3 days. We went up to get the cards everyone is getting through the mail, and ran into the nastiest woman on earth!! We didn't get them. She said they DON'T give them out, and will NOT even give the hotel guests 2 room keys. They get ONE! We had parked in the 15 minute hotel reservation spot (since there was no parking, and I sat in the running van waiting for Daryl). She paged over the loud speaker for him to move his van! He was standing right in front of her!! So we went to 1st Gold, and we didn't get them either. The slot booth closes at 10 pm and we were there at 10:15. So then we drove through SD (we saw a new card from Rosebud on another board) thinking maybe some of the Indians had new cards. Nope. Not for another month. What a waste of time, and money. Anyway we got home late last night because we blew a water pump a couple hours away from home. Of course it was Sunday and nothing was open. I slept in the back of the van while Daryl hitch-hiked to find a store that was open in nearby towns. He got back to the van 5 hours later, and then worked at putting the pump on. That took 4 hours. Like I said--we wasted TIME and Money!! It was so good to sleep last night in my own bed. I just got up! Anyway, that was my 3 day weekend. Isn't life FUN??? Ha! Pat
