That may be true in some cases but like if the person has a great collection & all they are missing is a few 1st or 2nd issue cards. But for people that is just starting to collect for a short time or have not been in an area before, they may find a few back issues that they didn't have before. I still do that after 5 years of Player Card collecting. I was in Harrah's Tunica a couple years back & decided not to look the 1st night or 2nd night. Well, the last night, I looked for a short time & WOW, look what I found, the Harrah's PREMIER card with gold wings, 2nd issue (see scan below). It's a $50.00 card! So, tell me again why I should not look at Harrah's or other places with lots of common cards or why I should not take every one I see? See, after I get home, I would rather throw out a pile of cards that I have many of rather than miss the one I might need. After all, a collection or collecting is more about the hunt(I feel). Anyone could go to a trout farm and catch fish or one of these game ranches to shoot something, I like to search for them.
I also really enjoy the small group of contacts & friends I have made for making trades from areas I don't get to.
