Being relatively new to slot card collecting, I have a few beginner level questions...

1) It's my understanding that a slot card contains nothing more than an acct number and cannot be abused in any way. Is this true?

2) I've heard from at least one person that they've been stopped by security for picking up cards. Is this common? Do most casinos frown on harvesting cards? If so, why? Do they not realize they can't be abused (assuming the answer to #1 above is "Yes")?

3) Just how "discreet" do you need to be when harvesting?

If any of you have any interesting stories about encounters with casino security over harvesting slot cards, I'd love to hear them and how you handled them.
