The three Boyd casinos downtown (California, Fremont and Main Street Station) are planning to link their systems together in the near future, and to do so and allow the cards to be inter-changeable, the California and Fremont machines have to be switched over to magnetic strip usage. (Which was always used at Main Street Station.) Here are the new backs of the Players Gold cards at Cal and Fremont. When I asked at the Cal, the slot card person said there were no plans to tie the three properties in with any other Boyd places like Stardust or Sam's Town.
