Myron - I don't ever fill in the SSN blank. If they won't issue a card then, it's their loss, not mine. At many casinos here in Vegas, there is a spot for the SSN on the application, but I always leave it blank. If asked, I show them my SS card. There are a few casinos that even tell you not to fill in your SSN, even though there is a spot for it on the application. And, your reason for not filling it in is the same reason they give for not wanting you to fill it in. I was told that the original reason they asked for it was for ID purposes, but now, since they all ask for a photo ID anyway, it is no longer needed. But, it is cheaper to keep printing the same old app's than to redesign a new one without the SSN question.
