After this post I received an e-mail from one of the posters to this message board and alerted me to Richard Hirsch's slot card auctions on e-Bay that had some strange bidding and bidders.
I investigated those auctions and after that investigation I wrote my concerns to e-Bay regarding two accounts that I had MAJOR suspicions of being shill bidders. Those accounts are now SUSPENDED.
Here is the letter I wrote to e-Bay.
Item numbers = 3226578643 3226581416 3226583626 3226584892 3226585993 3226587006 3226581018 3226582389 3226588060 3226588557
Apparent SHILLS for your USER "rickerbbm"
squarepockets232
plastibucks
Strange how these two new e-Bay users manage to show up on the very SAME DAY and ZERO right in on "rickerbbm" casino slot card auctions ENDING that VERY DAY, bidding up the prices. And in an attempt to cover their tracks BOTH users bid on EXACTLY two additional NON "rickerbbm" slot card auctions and even bidding against each other in an attempt to further remove suspicion of possible shill bidding. User "plastibucks" evening winning one of the NON "rickerbbm" auctions with a VERY low ball bid as compared to the bids placed on "rickerbbm" auctions.
Also noted that these two e-Bay bidders have made NO further bids on any other auctions than the ones made on
Jun 07, 2003
It has now been eleven (11) days since the auctions have ended and neither e-Bay user "squarepockets232" or "plastibucks" have received any feedback from "rickerbbm". Knowing how well "rickerbbm" loves to toot his high e-bay feedback I will not be surprised to see feedback to him from these two winning bidders on his auctions giving him 4 more positives from "plastibucks" and 8 more positives from "squarepockets232".
These may even be people other than "rickerbbm" himself who may be his friends but I rather suspect Richard Hirsch (rickerbbm) himself finding a work around shill bidding.

By e-Bay only dealing with the TWO shill bidding accounts, e-Bay has FAR from dealt with the actual culprit, as JackpotAuctions did.
Again it's buyer beware. When bidding on Richard Hirsch's auctions KEEP a watchful eye out for possible shills.
