First off--the casinos in Montana are very small, sort of the size of a 7-11. They cater to the locals only. Because they are so small, some (not all) make slot cards once a week usually on Thursday for some reason and the member is to pick them up after that. They won't mail them. So if you are there for only one day, you need to wait until your next vacation to pick up your card! Ha! THEY WILL BE WAITING FOR YOU--we have done this at the French Connection (one of my cards on ebay)!
There is a Laughlin, NV casino that does this too. We have heard all the stories that "it is against the law", "it is against gaming" "you can make credit cards out of them" (an Indian favorite). Give me a break--it all depends of the girl behind the counter the day you walk in to get a card. Some times a $5 bill can change the rules and her mind. Pat
