Plastic is easily molded if heated, but not so hot that it melts (destroying the card). If you really want to flatten out a card, try placing it between two sheet (panes?) of glass and set it out in the sun. The card should flatten out, assuming the glass is flat, the card should too.

I would try it by bending a common card first to get the timing down.
