Dear Confused - A card is only worth what a buyer is willing to pay the seller. If a "source" lists a card as having a "value" of $100, but a buyer is only willing to pay $35, then the real "value" of that card is only $35. If you compare the W/L 2nd and 3rd Editions, you will find a great exampple. There is a listing for a Harrah's Race Card slot card. In the 2nd Edition the "value" is $50. However, in the 3rd Edition the "value" is now only $7. Why the big difference? Supply and demand. When there was a small quantity of the cards, the value was high. Then someone at Harrah's found a large number of these cards and gave them away to anyone who asked for one. EBay was then "flooded" with these cards, and the price dropped dramatically. The same holds true with your "Adventure" card. The 3rd Edition states that there is only 1 known card. But, in the past year, others have surfaced, and now it's not as rare as once thought. The GLORY HOLE card from Colorado is another example. The 3rd Edition lists it as $150. It will be much lower in the 4th. Why? Because someone "found" several hundred of them. It's like the stock market-one day you have a stock worth millions, the next day the stock is worthless because no one wants it. I hope this has helped you, more than confusing you even more.
