Both cards are the same issue, number 8, according to the new, 7th Edition of THE SLOT CARD PRICE GUIDE, just issued last week. The guide states that some cards have been found with both the mag strip and "punch board" holes. It was a "transition card" used during the time when Mirage was changing their card reader system. It was also the last card used before they changed over to the MGM card, which is now the current card.
There have been rumors that PENN NATIONAL may be interested in buying the Mirage, but Penn National has denied that.
