At the Taj, there are 4 player levels yet the 4th level doesn't even exist on their website. I'm sure you have seen their white Signature Club cards.
In order to become a Signature level player, you need to accumulate 80,000 tier points and unlike Harrah's you get only 10 tier points per $100 played. That is $10 played for each point NOT $5, mind you again as with Harrah's it isn't spending that amount but having that amount of coin through.
There are so many players at that level that they in fact have their own players lounge on the 49th floor of the Taj.
fortunately or unfortunately, I'm not one of them LOL That should be some sort of a sign as to how many 7 star players exist too
I personally know of at least 1, 7 star player and I would assume there are many more.
Now, I know that many collectors collect cards with specific prefixes and perhaps at a small Harrah's property it is conceivable to have only a few players at that level but I'm sure the cards in general are in abundance.
Looking at your math though you say $5 per tier point and you need 100,000 points, well by my math that comes out to $500,000 in play on a regular slot machine not $1,000,000 at the Taj to reach their top level you need to spend $800,000 or 60% more
