Here is a venerable old boat that was a mainstay of the Quad Cities for years. (Can you name the Quad Cities?) All the cards issued by the President in Davenport neglected to mention the name of the city, which complicated matters with the boats in Biloxi and St. Louis also called The President. A simple rule of thumb: 1-800-352-5961 was on the back of the Davenport cards, "The President Casino on the Admiral" refered to the St. Louis boat, and any mantion of the Broadwater Resort refers to the Biloxi President. All three boats had the red cards. The Davenport President had two kinds of red cards, with and without a Plastic Print-A-Card mfg. mark. They were followed by the white card, then the black one. The imprint of a star with a waving pennent was not a different version of card, this was imprinted with the players name in indicate a 50+ senior member. The Price Guide also mentions a blue VIP version. These are all long gone, as the boat was bought by the Isle of Capri chain. But they couldn't call it Isle of Capri Davenport, as just four miles away in Bettendorf was the former Lady Luck boat that was changed to a Isle of Capri. So the President became Rhythm City. I don't have any President cards for trade. (Oh, the Quad Cities are Davenport and Bettendorf in Iowa and Rock Island and Moline in Ilinois)
