A $100 or even $200 bid on the original auction would not have made any difference in this case. The proxy bid system would only increase the bid by the bid increment over the competing bidders high bid. Jim's proxy bid did go over Pat's at around $25. Jim's bid could have been even higher. We do not have that info presently. The auction was cancelled and relisted before any further proxy bidding could take place.
