Here is the story...you decide what happened.
Yesterday a Dunes was on ebay and had just started. Jim put an opening bid on it (9.99). I bid $20, and of course was out bid due to the fact he had $25 on it. But at least I was on it so I'd remember to bid more later. An hour later I get a notice from ebay that my bid was pulled as the seller sold it with a "buy it now" bid. huh? I didn't know you could do that after you already have 3 confirmed bids on an auction. I went to ebay, and sure enough...a PACK member got the card for $100. He knew he'd never get it cheap if everyone else started bidding. Did he contact the seller and make an offer? Possibly. Did he just luck into the seller changing his mind to a "buy it now"??? I doubt it. Jim and I both contacted the seller and told him the card would have gone much higher. He didn't have much to say, I am sure he was sick by this time. Now, if this PACK member did cut Jim and me (and all the other buyers like many of you who I know would have seen it and bid), out of the card by contacting the seller...well that is pretty chicken sh*t! I don't mind losing a card because I can't bid $400, but to lose a card I too would have paid $100 for, just really makes me mad. Actually there were 2 cards, one was the purple Sultan card, and one was the black check cashing card. Doesn't it make you wonder?
