Park Place (Bally's) on Monday filed to merge Claridge Casino Hotel with Bally's Atlantic City to become the largest hotel in the entire northeast. Assuming approval of a 182 unit slot machine expansion on the walk-bridge, the new Bally's would have 6,091 slot machines and 219 table games in 5.1 acres of gaming space. It would also have 1,753 rooms and be larger than Harrahs with its 1,630 rooms. The new Bally's would also have 21 restaurants, 4,000 parking spaces, 14 shops and a 550 seat theatre. The Claridge would retain an identity as the Claridge Tower at Bally's.
