Re: I GOT MINE TODAY
I have mentioned to previous e-mails to others that I was taken ill and could not get to the PO to mail the envelopes and that is why my cards arrived to everybody later than I would have wanted to. Is that so hard to understand, I am very old and old people like me and others get ill more often than you yound people. You all should be more understanding to us older people. I have gone thru 2 wars with minor wounds so you young people could have the freedom to live free in this country. If your cards get to your house a little late what is the big deal anyway especially if one was ill for awhile. I understand that a lot of people are under stress now with the world economy and the local pressures to succeed and provide for a family which I agree is not very easy these days but hang in there and you will see that things will get better. I have gone thru these same ups and downs in my many years and have pulled thru just fine. Also prayer does help get you thru these tough times. I pray a lot and it sure does help me. I have been a member for 13 years and am still a member, I pay my dues each and every year and have my 10 year pin and all of my membership cards which I keep and have proudly framed. The pin and all the cards are framed very nicely for all my guests to see when they visit me and boy are they ever impressed. I am glad you got my cards and hope that you needed some of them. I received your cards and there was 1 card that I needed but that was fine because you never know what cards that you will receive when you trade. It will be fine with me if you do not want to trade with me, because I am currently trading with about 20 different people who collect slot and key cards and am very happy doing that. Round robins can be fun but sometimes when people do not get their cards in a couple of days they get very upset, why I never could figure that out. I have traded thousands of cards in the past few years and have had very little problems with other traders. I just wish that people would put in perspective things in their life, what is important and what is not, like when they get very irate when their cards do not arrive in a couple of day. I still have not received Archie Black's or Jim Munding's cards but that is okay, no problem there, I just have more important things to be concerned about. When you reach my age you will see that it is important to have your priorities in place. Thanx again, Allan for you patience and understanding this old gentleman.
