What do you do when your van breaks down in the middle of "nowhere" Whyoming? I'll tell you what we did. After running into thousands of bikers heading to Deadwood, they told us of a mechanic just up the road 15 miles. Well, the kid was busy, but told us he would get to our van in a few hours. We told him we were driving to Deadwood, still close to 4 hours away, and for $100 he "loaned" us his brothers old Bonnieville! Hey, the air conditioner worked, and it did get us to the casinos and back. We thought we needed a fuel pump in the van, but after geting back to town of the back yard mechanic, and waiting until after midnight due to his baptism taking all evening, he told us he did some tests, and we didn't need a fuel or water pump, that the moduale went out, and he also replaced a couple resistors packs. Ok, now I deal with cards, and this grease monkey wasn't talking my language. Thank goodness we also have those other cards called VISA, which he gladly took and charged us over $500. Daryl said he was sure the same moduale would have cost the same in Denver. Who knows. Maybe I don't want to know. Anyway. while in Deadwood, there was no place to park (bikes everywhere), no place to sit and eat, (bikers love their beer) and the drive in and out of SD was at a snails pace with miles and miles of Harleys everywhere!!! I have said it before, but this time I really mean it...I AM GLAD TO BE HOME!!!! Pat
