Returned last night from a very successful day of slot card and chip running (yes, I said chips as although they have taken a back seat to slot collecting) I still collect them.)
In any case, here is the new skinny.
Harrah's are no longer issuing the new life card in Reno.
I was able to acquire (with considerable persistence and difficulty may I add,) a few of the out-of-circulation Harrah's race car cards (which will be on the auction block tonight.)
The Eldorado has really clampled down on the issuance of their new higher limit cards. I have quite a few of the red ones for trade if anyone is interested. The big news here is the purple employees slot card. This card is not generally known to the public, but we did get an extra one.
The silver Legacy card shown on top is, I believe, the first issue. And contrary to rumors, the Silver Legacy is NOT going to switch over to the "ONE CARD."
Cal Neva. Boy, have they lowered the boom. For two shift, absolutely no blank cards, didn't see either one of the bus cards and didn't see any bingo cards. The only thing I was able to pick up were the current yellow cash club cards which are also available for trade (with names on them.)
Peppermill is now looking for September to issue their new hologragh diamond lever card.
Oh yes, silver Legacy is using the generic room key.
Hot August Nights. Whew. I am not into cars but I certainly was impressed yesterday. Bill and I saw some of the most georgous vehicles ever. Takes us back to our youth of the 40's and 50 era.
Being new to the area (2 years now) I have never witnessed such an array of vintage autos. If this is your passion, one must not miss at least a day or two of the Hot August Nights activities.
I'm sure I left out some information regarding some cards but am on the run. Playing in another small tournament today at Cache Creek with Bill O'Day (my slot card partner in crime) but will put some good stuff on the auction block tonight as well as listing a few traders.
