Here's my list of what I think are the 7 toughest slot cards to get at present time. What do you think?
1. Harvey's (Lake Tahoe) Elite card. These are literally held under lock and key by the casino manager. Only about 50 cards have EVER been issued. Not only do you have to be a big player to get a card, you have to submit to a personal interview with the casino manager before he gives you one! Don't even think about asking for a blank unless you want Harvey's employees to point and laugh at you!
2. Monte Carlo (LV) Platinum card. This card requires a huge amount of action and the booth guards these like a leprechaun over his pot of gold. Not only will you be turned down cold if you ask, but they will undoubtedly be quite nasty in the process! I know of no collector who has ever talked them out of a card.
3. Boomtown (Biloxi, MS) All high level cards - Gold, Emerald, and Ruby. I have tried to get these cards several times. I have asked several different people and different days, shifts, etc. They are adamant in their refusal to give these out. I will pay $100 to the first person who gets me a set.
4. Richman (BH, CO) Diamond card. Forget it. Poor Pat Lamb had to beg and grovel for 2 solid years before they were talked out of a card. They also insisted on what amounted to a $40 bribe!
5. Grand Casino (Biloxi, Gulfport, and Tunica, MS) Grand One high level card. These cards are only sent through the mail. The booth does not have any and they wouldn't give them to you if they could. Your only hope is to find one laying around the high roller area. Good Luck!
6. Horseshoe, Bossier City. High level card. I have heard this is impossible to get, but can not confirm this personally. I can say that I never see one for sale or trade, but their entry level card is very common. That's proof enough.
7. Riviera (BH,CO) Elite Card. Also requires an interview to obtain. However, it is not as brutal as the Harvey's ordeal. The booth will not give out blanks ever and the cards are locked up in a different area.
HONORABLE MENTION - Laughlin, NV The locals only Beside the Point/Muddy Rudder's Pub/Gnat's Landing card. You must have a locals ID to get a card. Very few of these have gotten out. They will not give you a blank under any circumstances.
Anyone out there disagree or think I've overlooked something?
