Here are some more cards I was very happy to bring back from the convention. The CasaBlanca, Eureka and Virgin River cards are the result of a run up to Mesquite, and though I tried to do too much in the five days I was out there, I was pleased in the time I spent on that side trip, since I got new cards at these three and the card at Oasis was not new, but I didn't have it with my name on it. (In my collection, I prefer cards in perfect shape, and the only thing I like better is a card issued in my name in mint shape.) At the Plaza and at the Coast casinos (Gold, Barbary, and Orleans) I was told by my old buddy, Albert Scalzo to visit the race counter and get horse betting cards. Nice looking! Albert also told me on Friday (when we ran into each other at the Plaza) that there were two special cards at Bellagio -- a table card (shown here) that you could get from the pit boss, and a cream colored card like this one that says "Bellagio Keno" that was harder to get at the keno desk. Al said there was one grouchy keno magager who refused to give them out, one other person who was more manageable and allowed him to have one. I was leaving early Saturday, so I had time to swing over to Bellagio, and I got the table card, but ran into the grouchy guy at the Keno desk. If I had more time I would have tried again the next day. I paid Albert and Larry Nitz back in a small part by letting them know they didn't have to walk up to the El Cortez in the 100+ degree heat for the new cards there - they won't have them until August, I was told. Thanks for the tips, Albert!
