Jim,
I see the fee to attend the trade session as completely different from the other charges you cite. The charge to enter the convention covers admittance to the bourse, trade sessions, chapter meetings, seminars, business meeting, auction. The banquet and poker tournament have additional costs to cover expenses for those events, meal, room, prize money, etc. The charge to non- chapter members to attend a trade session is a double charge to those CC & GTCC members when they have already paid for that function with the convention admittance fee and / or CC & GTCC dues. I will stick with my opinion. The extra charge is wrong. There is not an additional charge to enter any other trade session or chapter meeting. There should not be one for cards either. This is surely not the way to encourage membership in a chapter or the CC & GTCC. How is someone new to the hobby supposed to learn and become interested in joining if you charge an additional fee. One that most would feel is part of the convention registration.
