Hi Guys and Gals who didn't get to go to the convention this year. It was a great time. Got to meet so many nice people I've dealt with on ebay and Jackpot Auctions as well as the Chipboard and this Slotcard bbs over the last year or so. Wish you all could have been there so I could meet you also. We did Mark Menke's private slot card trade Tuesday evening, the big slot card trade Wednesday and the Convention Thursday. Slot card collectors/sellers everywhere - seemed to be a big part of the activity on the convention floor. Yes, some people got some real good deals on cards from people selling old cards who didn't know the value of them. Me, on the other hand, had to pay for the cards we got - spent more than I planned to -- oh well, I can't take it with me. We had only mild success collecting cards in the casinos. 108 degrees in Vegas.
We drove this year (which was a 1st for us) so we left for home Friday and made it to Grand Junction, CO and spent the night (just in time for a Harley Hawg gathering), then on home this morning. Too old to attempt driving it straight thru. Glad to be home - but hot here also.
Now to the task of logging all my new cards in the computer and finding space for them in my books (probably means another trip to Office Depot for more books).
Anyone found out yet what Scott's slot card auction went for?
Missed you all at the convention but glad to be home.
