In Response To: What is a round robin? ()

A Round-Robin (RR) is a method of trading cards (or any other collectibles). Several collectors submit their names to the sponsor, who makes a sequence list.

The sponsor then makes a package with a number of different (unique) cards and mails it to the first person on the list.

This collector looks the cards over and trades one-for-one by replacing any cards he takes out with other unique cards from his traders.

Many collectors add a few extra cards as a bonus, but that is optional. All the cards in the round robin should be different (no duplicates).

The collection is then sent to the next person, who does the same thing. The last person sends the collection back to the sponsor.

The collections are usually sent PRIORITY MAIL with DELIVERY CONFIRMATION. If the package is less than 2 pounds, the total postage will be about $4.35

The sponsor and other players should be informed of the DELIVERY CONFIRMATION number by posting it on the Bulletin Board. This way all can know when to expect the RR in their mail box. DELIVERY CONFIRMATION numbers can be tracked on the U.S.P.S website. ( http://usps.com/cgi-bin/cttgate/ontrack.cgi )

A RR is a great way for newcomers to trade their dupes and become familiar with cards from all over.
