I recall seeing at the last CC>CC Convention a guy selling chips for the "World Trade Center Hotel & Casino" and it was there and afterwards that I heard the story of the place. It was built by some guy a couple of miles east of the strip, I think on Convention Center drive. The guy ran short of money or couldn't get a gambling license, and the place didn't open. Then he died and the heirs were stuck with it. I drove past it last June, and if I hadn't heard part of the story I would have really be confused about what it was.
