Hi kids---we just got back from a NM run. Oh my. Taos was a lot of fun. The bridge is out, and we had a gravel road detour. I have never seen so many thin horses in all my life along that dirt road. I think the trail we took was made for dirt bikes and not vans. Not one other car was on that road. Once we got to the casino, which took a very long time, it was early morning, and maybe 3 people were playing the machines. There had to be 6 security guards standing around!!! We asked for our cards, which we got, and asked for blanks too, but were refused. No use arguing, as 2 big Indian guards stood next to the little girl in the slot card booth. She said they had their own rules, which included no cell phones allowed in the casino. Now remember, this is a tiny place, so NO "lost cards" were anywhere to be found. After the gas and time, I figure these couple cards had to cost us $25 each! Ha! Well from there, we hit the usual spots. Daryl gives me 10 minutes to run to the right as he heads to the left. Don't even think about taking a potty break. We did find new cards at Camel Rock. cpi is on the reverse. We talked to the lady (very briefly) at Cities of Gold, and they are still not using the new cards we told you about. She said she designed the cards herself, and had spoken to Scott from ACC. No, the cards are NOT ACC. Scott, you didn't work your magic with her. She said maybe next time. As for all the other casinos, they had the same old-same old. We did get the new purple cards from Imperial, with the smaller logo. Nice colors on them! Well, we got back home around 3 in the morning, and needed that 8 hours of sleep. Can't wait to see you all in Vegas. Pat
