I was talking about how the Guide breaks down types 8 and 9. Type 8 says "Plastic Print-A-Card Co. is positioned slightly away from the right edge on reverse." Type 9 follows with "Plastic Print-A-Card Co. is farther to the right on reverse." As you can see below, the white (intro level card had one type of back where the player was to print his name, and the peach-blue-silver-gold cards ahd what I thought were all the same backs with a signature box. When I saw what the Guide said I dug out all my Showboat cards to see if I had different kinds. I still am not sure which is which. How can one type be "slightly away from the right edge" with the other "farther to the right." I found slightly different placements of the mfg mark on some peach and silver cards I had, but I can see how I missed it the first time. Not much of a variation to look for! I looked at the blue cards I had and didn't see any with the white "Hotel Casino Las Vegas" version. So I think I have a set of type 8 with a peach and silver type 9, but I wouldn't swear to it!
Things have not changed at the casino now that the name has changed to Castaways. They have a high level (Preferred) card and have put out special cards for bowlers and golfers, as the Showboat did a lot in the past.
I hope Steve and Pat do not think I am accusing them of putting out false information when I point out what I think are errors or poorly phased descriptions in the Guide. Looking at the Guide is like Mount Rushmore. You see it as a fantastic accomplishment, but when you get close, you ask the makers if they think fixing the crack in Lincoln's nose would make it even better. Minor improvements I might suggest do not diminish the work you two have done for the hobby of slot card collecting.
