At long last I have had a chance to scan one of these cards. The $10 version was auctioned off while I was on the
cruise and the profit from that auction in now way comes close to the Internet fees I paid while on-board!!!!
Anyway, Ocean Player's Club is a company that runs (or manages) the casinos of Carnival Cruise Lines, which
includes all associated Carnival cruise companies (Holland America, Costas, etc.). The Ocean Player's Club is
a comp oriented club that gives points for table and slot play. At one time they have very high buy-in requirements
and I could not get signed up. I also know that they have not converted all the slot machines to accept their slot
cards, which included the Carnival Victory, so I could not get a slot club card while on the cruise.
I did however, get one of these cards (one only) and the $10 version (that was sold via eBay). This card (and the
$10 version is used as a buy-in marker for various tournaments. While on the cruise I was on, they have several
blckjack tournaments and several slot machine tournaments. In order to enter, you had to surrender one of these
cards to the person running the tournament. To get the card you only had to buy it (them) from the Cashier's
Cage. This then kept money out of the hands of the person running the tournament.
If the tournament was $10 per entry, then you would buy a $10 card(s). The same for $20 tournaments. Notice
that the card shows that it is non-refundable. This card will go for the best offer, otherwise it will end up on eBay.
The yellow sticker is an inventory control number.
