Paul,
You have a point for the bidders, but I don't think you are thinking about the sellers at all.
I spent $115.00 on shipping supplies this week. that included padded envelopes, tape, and stamps.
I will get that back with shipping charges, but at about $30 to $40 a week. By the time I make up that money, it will be time to get more supplies.
Yes, it would be nice to always have free shipping. But with the expense of traveling to get the chips, not to mention the 30c that ebay charges to list an item, and then the commision they charge, I sure couldn't be auctioning Northwest chips very long. It would get pretty expensive for me, so why would I bother.
When I buy from ebay, I realize the expense of shipping charges. I will not bid on items that have unreasonable shipping charges. I will not pay $2 or $3 dollars to ship one chip. But if it's reasonable, I figure it's a lot better than the expense of going there to get the chip for myself.
I can understand how you feel, but please think about the sellers before you turn the bidders against us. We are making very little for our efforts, and maybe providing a little bit of a service for people that otherwise, would not get to these out of the way places to get the chips they would like to have.
I don't think telling the bidders not to bid, will accomplish what you want. If I have to pay all the shipping charges myself, I would quit selling or auctioning. Like I said, I'm not getting rich doing this.
