I have been to a few casinos in my time and each has some memories for me. The Imperial Palace takes me back to the first day of my first trip to the Strip. I spent a day walking from place to place, working my way north, and I stopped for a late dinner buffet at IP. God, it was horrible. Everything that should have been warm was cold, and everything that should have been cold was warm. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would rate this meal a minus three. But this isn't the Food Channel, so I guess I should talk about cards.
The Red Qualifier card was used for a while for new players. They had to run some points on it to get a "real" card. They later used temporary cards, as in the sample blue one I have. For some time they have been using the cards with the black front featuring a picture of the casino. Types 4,5,6 and a new 7th type I found all have the same front with minor changes on the back. Types 4 and 5 have no manufacturer's mark on them, and the "Casino Info..." line on the bottom is lined up with the text on 4 and indented on 5. Type 6 has the CPICA 22313 manufacturer's mark on it. Type 7, not in the guide, is one I got at my trip to Las Vegas last December. It's just like type 6, but has CPICA 25931 on it. Oh, if you didn't guess already, when I was there last December, I skipped the buffet!
