Casino bedtime story--NIGHTMARES!
We went in Paragon, and got our cards. I always walk away and go play for titos for Jim. Daryl then asked for a set of the cards--nope. He asked for a supervisor--nope again. He then asked for a floor manager, nope. He asked for Marketing--- had to go to a different room, and they said NOPE. While in Marketing he asked if maybe a Pit Boss could get them, she said she didn't know, but so far the people under her could NOT give out the cards. So, he walked to the Pit and talked to a man, told him what he wanted them for and the man said OK. Huh? Better grab them and run. Sure enough the slot card supervisor was out for lunch and when the Pit Boss told the little girl behind the desk to give Daryl all 3 cards, she did. Daryl didn't know where I was, so he took the cards to the car and put them in the glove box. He re-entered the casino with the Pit Boss, and Card Supervisor waiting for him at the door. They demanded the cards. Daryl argued the Pit Boss said ok, but even the Pit Boss said he made a mistake and wanted them back. Daryl walked away from them looking for me, and they followed his every step. He found me 20 minutes later, and here I am losing money on a machine and 3 people now standing behind me. They located me by using the computer and slot card in the machine. Sneaky!!!! Daryl found me and told me to "cash out". I did so not knowing what was going on, and took the tito to a kiosk to get my couple dollars. He told me to go get in the car. They followed us to the door again and had called security. I slipped out, but they caught Daryl and demanded the cards. He said they could do a strip search and not find them. (They were in the car). I still had no idea what was happening inside, but sat outside waiting for Daryl to show up. Inside they called head of security who listened to both sides of the story. Daryl said the cards were GIVEN to him and they were his. He was NOT going to return them, call the cops if necessary. The head of security told the card supervisor that he knew at one time they even mailed the cards to collectors and he saw nothing wrong with Daryl having a set. She stomped off, leaving the Pit Boss and Daryl still standing at the door. The Head of security sort of laughed and Daryl walked out, not knowing if they were following, or if they did call the cops. We left town. It was odd that after that we could NOT get cards from other casinos, like Coushata, and L'Auberge. I am thinking they alerted them we were coming. Ha! End of story. What a nightmare. I hate confrontations. It makes my mouth go dry! Pat
