OK Steve, I am not going to start a revolution, just hash out differences in opinion. At the convention this year, Albert and I can lock you in a closet and try to change Pat's mind. She has always been a pushover.
I didn't even bring up magnetic strips, but they seem to be as easy to pin down as the variations in the colors on an Arizona Charlie's card. So far the worst I found is the Soaring Eagle type 3. You list two versions - with a 9mm stripe and with a 13mm stripe. I measured mine three times and it keeps coming out 11mm wide!
I have other minor finds to tell you about, and that's just from the small part of my cards I did go over with the Guide and a magnifying glass.
Here's one for you - I have a "Club Metro Players Club" card - how do I know if it is type two or type three? Why, I look to see if the "casino" on the obverse is wider... Do you see my problem? There a number of places where you cannot tell the difference between two cards unless you have both. So if you have one, you don't know which box to check. I had the same problem with my Brass Ass card. I didn't know if my card is the 2 arrow large or small donkey version. (I asked a neighbor, and he said he was sure I had a big ass.) I asked Pat, and she sent me a scan of the four different cards. I stared at the scan for an hour, muttering "I don't see a damn difference in any of these donkeys.")
(Boy, it sure is getting wordy on the Slot Card Board nowadays...)
