I have to share this story with you. I sent a letter to Scott, and told him what happened to me today, but I am going to tell the rest of you too.
I made a good find today. I was "up the hill" this morning and an older man was playing a slot machine right beside me. I noticed he had a white Canyon card on his key ring. I told him I collect old cards, and offered him $5. He thought about it, and said, "how about $10?" My gosh, that little dude had me. Smart guy, no dummy here. But I told him no, and went on playing my machine. I was sure he'd turn to me and take the $5. I was wrong, and when he left, I chased him into the parking lot. I did give him the $10 he wanted. Now here is the twist...I had almost $20 in my nickle machine when I ran out the door. By the time I got back into the casino, another man was playing my credits, and was down to 82 credits. Yikes. Lesson learned. Next time I know the value of a card, accept the man's counter offer at that time. Oh well. I wanted that card! Pat
