Previously, the scanned VIP card was mistakenly identified (by me) as not being a room key. I have since found out that it is in fact a room key, and that there is at least one other version (with red, white and blue coloring).

When VIP's stay at Palace Station (LV), they are given up-graded rooms (suites) and these VIP room key are used instead of the standard room keys.
