The messages are being posted by a computer, not a real person. Everytime anyone clicks on one of the links that gets posted, or replies to the email, or posts a reply message (which sends an email to the computer) only confirms that the SPAM post was read by a live entity that did something in return.
I strongly recommend that we not post replies, not click on any links and not send email to the computer (robot, aka: "bot") because it absolutely, positively, will never, ever do anything to eliminate this junk.
Greg is working the issue, but there is no simple answer. It would appear that the type of message board software we are using is exploitable by the 'bots'. Perhaps the answer will lie in using a different product, or modifications to this version or...?
