Riverside Cards
In Response To: Confused Again ()

Barry, you are confused because you're trying to figure out the two different cards that are not in the Guide! You found something Steve and Pat missed.

They break Riverside Casino cards down to 5 releases. The reason you don't know the large/small logo difference is because you can't see them. Well, here is a chance to do so. Type one (which was done in a white, black, and red cards according to the guide) had a Faraday Mfg Mark, and had a logo high as the card itself, shown below. Type two, that I don't have was white with the large logo and a DLR CP mark. Tyoe three was when they went to the smaller logo (to leave room along the bottom edge for imprinting, I guess) and started using the phone number on the back. Type 3 also had the Faraday mfg. mark. The type 4 (which I also don't have) was like type 3 except for the different mfg. mark - DLR CP. Then we get to what they call type 5. They specify that this is the only type without a mfg. mark on the back, with a small logo. Well, both you and I can show them two distinct cards with small logos and no mfg. mark on the back. One has "King of Clubs" in black, one has "King of Clubs" in yellow. I am calling these Type 5A and Type 5B, but in the next Guide I am sure the yellow lettering version will become Type 6. I have a few of the black lettering and a few of the yellow lettering versions of "type 5" for trades.

Finally, the "Local Pride" sticker is something the casino puts on their cards for local people.
