Wow, thanks for pointing that out to us, Scott. It is getting to the point where I darn near use a microscope on the front and back of a card I get to see if there is any variation from the last one I got. Don't know if we ever thought to look at the edge! I dug out one.
Anything can be a variation for us if we can all spot it. If one person sees a difference between two cards, it isn't a variation, but if you can convince others, then it can become an "official" variation. If you guys making cards had a night shift, and we collectors could find a way to tell which cards were done during the day and which at night even though they were otherwise identical, we would consider those variations. It's just a way for us to put one more "different" card in our collections!
