I read the following item in this week's issue of "Numismatic News" that I thought might be of some interest to a few readers on this forum.
PLASTIC CLUB STARTING UP
"A new club for those who collect credit and debit cards is holding its inaugural meeting Feb. 4 in Madeira Beach, Florida.
Calling themselves the American Credit-Debit Collectors, the group is open to hobbyists who collect all kinds of plastic cards, including: gift, casino slot, telephone, Master Card, hotel keys, credit, ATM, visa, medical, department store and gasoline cards.
Thos interested in becoming one of the first members and having a founder number are encouraged to attend the first meeting.
Membership is free. Organizers are expecting to meet a few times per year and start a newsletter on March 1.
For information or to join now, write to: AC-DC P.O. Box 8481, Madeira Beach, FL 33738 or attend the first meeting, which will take place at the Gulf Beaches Library at 200 Municipal Drive in Madeira Beach. The meeting will take place between 1 and 4 p.m."
